Green Certification
Our partner factories hold respected Green Certifications that demonstrate their commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing. These certifications ensure sustainable processes, efficient resource use, and reduced environmental impact, supporting greener construction outcomes.
EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) assessed its products’ environmental impact throughout their life cycle, from the extraction and processing of the raw materials through to the recycling of demolition spoil. The findings of this LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), performed in accordance with the ISO 14040 series international standards, have been published in the Environmental Product Declaration (ISO 14025 and EN 15804), contributing to the attainment of LEED.
THE GREENGUARD ENVIRONMENTAL INSTITUTE is an industry-independent organisation with a mission to improve indoor air quality and reduce people’s exposure to chemicals and other pollutants. As an ISO-IEC Guide 65:1996 accredited, third-party organisation, the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute certifies products and materials for low chemical emissions and provides a resource for choosing healthier products and materials for indoor environments. Certified products must meet chemical emissions standards based on established criteria from key public health agencies.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an internationally recognised green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.
DECLARE LIVING BUILDING CHALLENGE (LBC) RED LIST FREE is a status indicating that a product contains none of the harmful chemicals listed on the Red List. It is one of three declaration possibilities—Red List Approved and Declared are the other two—on the International Living Future Institute’s (ILFI) Declare Label. For a manufacturer to claim a product is Red List Free, it must disclose 100 per cent of ingredients and be found to contain no Red List chemicals at levels at or above 100ppm or 0.01 per cent. Products with the Red List Free label are in compliance with the LBC’s goals of ingredient transparency and industry-wide elimination of all Red List chemicals.
ISO 14001:2015 specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that an organisation can use to enhance its environmental performance. ISO 14001:2015 is intended for use by an organisation seeking to manage its environmental responsibilities systematically and to contribute to the environmental pillar of sustainability.
Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) Registration. This is an important European-level recognition that aims to continuously improve production standards and raise employee awareness of environmental protection. The EMAS system is a voluntary environmental management system for companies committed to evaluating and improving their environmental performance through more responsible purchasing and management, and more careful use of air, water, land, raw materials, and energy.
THE WELL BUILDING STANDARD is an international assessment method that encourages healthy eating choices and active lifestyles, as well as promoting natural light and a high standard of air quality, based on seven years’ of scientific, medical and architectural research.
VERDE SPAIN GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL is the first national non-profit association of leading companies in the built environment industry that work together to promote environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy cities and
buildings for the people who live or work in them.
BREEAM is an assessment undertaken by independent, licensed assessors using scientifically based sustainability metrics and indices that cover a range of environmental issues. Its categories evaluate energy and water use, health and wellbeing, pollution, transport, materials, waste, ecology and management processes.
US GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL, the association of top players working to transform the building market towards sustainability and to build liveable communities. GBC US members promote environmental, economic, and social responsibility, innovating in buildings through engineering, design, manufacturing, and use.
